How Many Treatments Will I need?

The number of treatments will vary per patient. As a general rule, we recommend at least four to six treatments to achieve optimal results.

What Happens During my Procedure?

Prior to treatment, a topical numbing cream is applied for about 45 minutes. Once the area is numb, the cream is removed and the skin is prepped for treatment. The microneedling procedure itself takes about 20 minutes to complete.

To develop a PRF preparation, blood is drawn from the patient. The sample is placed in a sterile chamber and spun in a centrifuge to separate the platelets from the other blood cells. PRF is then topically applied during your microneedling procedure.

Why is PRF better than PRP?

According to New York facial plastic surgeon Dilip D. Madnani, MD, there's one key difference that could make PRF a more effective treatment in the future (after it's been proven in long-term studies). "PRF appears to target the same issues as PRP, but it releases the growth factors over time, which means it could have longer-term benefits. The growth factors are what stimulate the stem cells that improve collagen and elastin in the skin."
